The holder of the $1 million Powerball lottery ticket sold at a Henderson, Ky., convenience store earlier this month claimed their prize Thursday morning at the Kentucky Lottery Corp. headquarters in Louisville. The ticket was validated and the prize ? a check for $690,000 after deducting state and federal income taxes ? was handed over, said lottery spokesman Chip Polston.
