Wiggins alderman wants to put brakes on too many stop signs
A Wiggins alderman believes too many stop signs are going up in the city and he wants to put the brakes on that practice. Alderman Gene Alexander said every year, the city receives numerous requests to install stop signs to reduce speeding or improve safety. But Alexander said stop signs may not always be the answer, so he's pushing for a new Stop Sign policy.

Water in Wiggins does not meet state requirements
Water in the city of Wiggins does not meet state requirements and has not for several years. The State Department of Health has reported the city has taste, odor and color issues, but the department does not regulate aesthetic issues. The state does however regulate the amount of fluoride in water, and official reports indicate that is not up to standard.

Princeton Township Nicole Keim, 18, of Princeton, and Andrew Goodman, 31, of Princeton, were in an accident on Alexander Road by Faculty Road on May 14 at 7:44 a.m. There were no injuries and Mr. Goodman received a summons.
