Golf: Estes, O'Mera cap prep season at state's second day
This Sequim High senior duo kept their seasons going as long as they could. Sequim's Ryan O'Mera and Hailey Estes made the second-day cut at the state 2A golf championships in Spanaway, finishing with top-30 placings on Wednesday.

Rudolph "Rudy" Strutzel
Rudy Strutzel died on April 25, 2012, at the Cashmere Convalescent Center, just two days after his 90th birthday. Rudy was born April 23, 1922, in Wenatchee, WA to Rudolph C. Strutzel and Wilma Warren Strutzel. Rudy's family were early settlers in the Monitor area, having arrived in 1902. Rudy attended schools in Monitor and graduated from Cashmere High School in May, 1940.
